We invest in the
technology to provide you the finest vision care anywhere!
We most recently
added the CIRRUS HD OCT from Carl Zeiss Meitec. This advanced
imaging system give us the ability to image and monitor the retina,
macula, optic nerve as well as the external eye.

 Recently
we became one of the first offices in West Virginia to offer
Foresee PHP TM . This unit assists us with the care
of patients with macular degeneration. This simple test could save
your vision. It is the first ever comprehensive system for detecting
and monitoring the existence and progress of macular degeneration.
This technology is used to recognize those at risk and in need of
treatment before vision is lost.

Our
exam rooms feature
Ocutouch TM , a state of the art computer
based video system to all our exam rooms. Ocutouch TM is
an entertaining 3-D presentation to let our patients understand more
about their diagnosis. This allows our doctors to improve patient
communication and lets out patients understand more about their
eyes!
We
offer retinal
tomography
services at both offices using Heidelberg Engineering's HRT II. Our
offices were one of the first in West Virginia to offer this service
and were the first to have a mobile imaging unit! Our
state of the art 3-D imaging system allows us to provide the best
care to glaucoma patients or those at risk to develop this disease.

We
switched from the traditional projector chart used to measure your
visual acuity to Acuity Pro TM . This digital
system is a computerized acuity testing program which provides
uniform illumination and a more accurate measurement of your vision.
It features letters, numbers as well as special picture symbols for
our younger patients.
 We
feature digital quality ocular photographic services at both
offices. This allows to photo document the condition of your eyes
and is extremely useful for monitoring the condition of your eye
health. It is also an excellent patient education tool that allows
our doctors to better explain the condition of your eyes and since
it is digital, the results are viewable immediately.
Our
offices use MediNotes paperless medical records. Instead of our
staff having a chart to make notes of your visit, all new exam
details are entered directly into our computers. Old exam
notes are scanned, archived on the computer and available for
immediate review by our doctors. This streamlined medical record
system allows our entire staff to allocate less time to the clerical
work of our office and instead focus more on you!
Based
on the recently published OHTS study which indicated patients with
thin cornea and elevated eye pressure are at greater risk to having
advanced field loss, we have added ultrasonic pachymetery. This
service to measure corneal thickness is available at both offices.

We also recently upgraded our visual field analysis units and also offer this service
at both offices.
