Thank you for interest in employment with us. The following information is an overview of any and all current positions for which we are recruiting. It also explains what we ask from aspiring candidates and our employment recruitment process. Thanks to our patients, we continue to grow and coming off the busiest year in the history of our practice. We are, thus, in the process of expanding our staff. We currently have two positions available. When applying state which position you seek. You will note that these are very similar jobs with each having a unique emphasis on some job skills.

OUR GOALS AND PHILOSOPHY FOR OUR TEAM MEMBERS I t is our goal to provide excellence in eye care. We strive to "Do It Right The First Time" and to nurture the trust every patient gives us thus forging a bond that will result in a lifelong doctor-patient relationship. For this to succeed, a close relationship must exist between all TEAM members of our staff. They must be able to thoroughly follow directions. They must also, in their own way, contribute to the overall betterment of our practice. We do not expect perfection from the start. We do, however, expect a willingness for every team member to learn and expand their capabilities. It is our goal as an office to EXCEED OUR PATIENTS EXPECTATION EVERYDAY!
OUR LOCATIONS From time to time, we hire additional staff members specifically for one of our two office locations. Individuals with the flexibility to work at either facility is an asset but not a requirement unless posted as such in the specific job description. Our staff is comprised of both part-time and full-time positions.
CURRENT POSITIONS
SALEM OFFICE - OPTOMETRIC ASSISTANT (with emphasis on insurance aging) - full time - approximately 36-38 hours per week - Full job description and benefits will be presented during interviews. Previous health care and / or eye care experience are not a requirement. This position will also have a primary focus on insurance aging tracking under the direction of our Office Manager JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW [PATIENT APPOINTMENT MANAGEMENT] Schedule, confirm and rearrange appointments and confirm Contacting and Follow-up on missed appointments Recalling patients by phone and mail - review charts monthly to create recall phone list Assist Patient Follow-up phone calls from TO DO section of patient record
[RECEPTIONIST & PHONE SKILLS] Greet and register incoming patients Update Insurance card and patient demographics Answer phone lines and Intercom [CLERICAL] Mail Welcome Letters and other correspondence In Office printing Assist Doctor in personal or civic related correspondence Assisting in statement mailing Assisting in recall mailing [BILLING] Insurance billing of new claims / electronically and via paper Daily Computer Billing / Posting Payments Assist with Insurance rebilling in conjunction with office manager [OPTICAL & DISPENSARY] Organization of Optical Dispensary Styling, adjustment & repair of eyeglass frames Ordering glasses & contacts Process new inventory
