Congratulations to the winners of our OPTIFOG contest! We recently awarded a pair of glasses at each office to the best story about your foggiest eye glasses moment. Here are the winners and excerpts from their entries.
Jennifer Davis of Salem
was selected from our Salem office entries. Her story was about a time
she worked in a bank and "had to enter a code on a keypad to get into the
building. Three wrong codes calls security. I walked from the parking garage
across the street to the entry way of the building. As I walked in my
glasses started fogging up. By the time I got to the keypad they were a
white out. I tried to code once through the fog- wrong code. Then after a
quick swipe with a glove- a drip got me a wrong entry. Third try- without
the glasses-and here came security. When they saw it was me and my wet
glasses they laughed and let me in. For the next week the guys waited at the
door for me to come in each day and gave me a hard time about the dangers of
using a keypad when “in a fog”
Jennifer Jones of
Pennsboro was our Harrisville office winner. Jennifer works in a deli
and explained that she
"...went to lay the tray on a solid surface (what I saw as
solid) and completely missed and all my food going everywhere, running into
everything trying to look through the top of my glasses - just to see where
I was going and what I was doing. I’ve only been there almost six months and
my boss asks me if I’m ok, cause I am always stumbling around and I tell him
its just my glasses fog up."
Thanks to you, we continue to grow. Effective March 1, we have expanded our hours to now offer evening appointments on Tuesday & Thursday in Salem and Wednesday in Harrisville. Our Salem facility is location is on Salem's west end adjacent to Salem Family Medicine. The near 4000 square foot building features free parking, handicapped access, 10 patient care rooms and a new optical featuring 12 new frame lines! We are dedicated to bringing you the finest eye care available and constantly invest in the technology to deliver on our promise! We offer patient care 5 days a week in Salem (plus a bonus day of care on the second Saturday of each month) and 3 days per week in Harrisville. We just upgraded our optical lab equipment to ensure the highest quality in the glasses we manufacturer. We welcome new patients! Visit our new patient registration section to make your initial registration streamlined. Print our consent and history forms; complete them at home and bring then to your exam. Our Mission & PhilosophyOur practice was established in Salem, WV by Dr. Joseph Audia in 1983. We expanded that office 3 times. In 1998 we added a branch location in Harrisville, which was renovated in 2002. Dr. Michelle Wickline joined our practices in 2003. In 2009, we built our new Salem location. Through it all our mission has remained unchanged - to provide quality eye care at affordable fees! It is our philosophy to provide the most thorough eye care and highest quality materials at the best possible fee. It is our experience that our “everyday low prices" are lower than most competitors “sale prices”. We hope this site helps you understand who we are, the services we provide, our policies and pricing philosophy. In this ever changing economy, it is every eye care consumers desire to get the maximum for their money. But, remember that when something sounds too good to be true - it probably is! Beware of advertising gimmicks. Choose your eye care for its quality and value of service!
